Do I need a doctor’s referral to make an appointment?

No.  Physiotherapists are primary care health professionals.

If you have an extended health benefits plan that covers physiotherapy  you may require a doctor’s note to get reimbursed.  Every plan is different so you need to check with your benefits provider.

If I have back pain should I go to a chiropractor?

Physiotherapists are professionally trained to do spine manipulations and mobilizations in a safe and effective way.  We always provide an exercise program to address core and other muscle weaknesses. We educate you to help you maintain your back health and prevent future back problems.

What types of clients do you treat?

We treat all clients who have joint, spine, muscle, bone, cartilage, ligament, and nerve pain and injury.  We help those with balance and movement difficulties.  We treat people before and after they have surgery.  We treat people after they have had fractures, dislocations, traumas, falls, head injuries or sports injuries.

We treat clients who qualify for MSP coverage-they get a discount.  We provide active rehabilitation for ICBC clients who have prior approval.

Can I get my money back from my health insurance benefits plan?

If you have an extended health benefits plan and physiotherapy is covered you can submit the detailed receipt we give you and get your money back.  We are licensed physiotherapists and our license number is on the receipt.  Every plan is different so check into it carefully.  Some plans cover up to a certain dollar value e.g. $500.00 and others will cover a percentage of the visit price.  We do not direct bill.
